About Me
I provide mental wellness coaching, cultural adaptation support, and non-medical end-of-life and grief support for individuals and families navigating life's challenges and transitions.
My work is grounded in compassionate presence, deep listening, and a genuine respect for each person's experiences, values, and individuality. I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where people can feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate difficult emotions, uncertainty, and change.
Whether you are experiencing stress or anxiety, adjusting to life in a different culture, or facing serious illness, grief, or end-of-life, my approach is guided by empathy, collaboration, and respect for your autonomy and personal journey.
My Approach
You are not alone. I'm here to listen.
I believe that meaningful support begins with being truly heard. My approach is grounded in deep, empathetic listening, compassionate presence, and respect for each person's unique experiences, values, and circumstances.
I provide a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can express yourself openly, explore difficult emotions, and reflect on what matters most to you. Rather than offering predetermined answers, I work collaboratively with you, respecting your autonomy and supporting you in finding your own path forward.
Whether we are working through emotional challenges, cultural transitions, grief, or end-of-life concerns, my intention is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate these experiences in a way that honors your individual needs, values, and wishes.
Professional Background & Qualifications
For many years in New York, I worked as a clinical exercise and fitness specialist, providing specialized exercise and wellness support to older adults and individuals living with chronic illness, disability, neurological conditions, and serious or terminal medical conditions.
Working in collaboration with physicians and physical therapists, I supported individuals facing significant physical limitations, chronic pain, loss of independence, and major changes in their health and daily lives.
This experience deepened my understanding of the emotional challenges that often accompany illness, disability, and aging, and reinforced the importance of patience, adaptability, compassionate communication, and truly listening to each person's needs and experiences.
Education & Training
My academic background includes a Master of Science degree with a focus on Health Promotion, Injury Prevention, and Wellness Enhancement. Together with my professional experience and continuing education, this has shaped my understanding of the connection between physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
My additional training and qualifications include:
Mental Health First Aid certification
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention training and certification
End-of-Life Doula Training Certificate
Coaching training and education
Tai Chi and Qigong teaching certifications
Over 20 years of experience in mindfulness and meditation training and practice
In addition to my coaching and end-of-life support work, I have been an active volunteer with a crisis support service for nearly four years. I have completed extensive specialized training and certification in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and supportive communication.
